This class is designed for 3 to 10 year olds and their parents. Topics covered include: Hands on training on how to hold and diaper a baby. Changes that may occur when the baby arrives at home and tour of the nursery and mom’s room at the hospital as well. Please bring a doll or teddy bear so your child can learn how to diaper and properly hold a baby

The Center is a multifaceted community resource that provides support and education to parents. The goals of the Center are to promote confidence and competence in parents, to encourage optimal child development, and to enhance the well-being of the family.To accomplish these goals, The Parenting Center offer a variety of programs that address the normal developmental problems and issues facing today's parents. The core services include programs for parents of infants and toddlers, and programs for parents of school-age through adolescent children. In addition to classes and regular group activities, individual counseling is available.Parenting classes are available to parents on a very reasonable class-fee basics. Class discounts are available to members of The Parenting Center.   Friday Night Music Camp at 3 Ring Circus Productions 1638 Clio Street New Orleans
New Orleans Musicians Clinic, the Arts Council of New Orleans and 3 Ring Circus present a two hour concert geared toward kids, with informative performances of all genres of New Orleans music. This Happy Hour for Families includes a hands-on art table with make and take activities. This week featuring "Annie's Home" art project by One Book One New Orleans. Children will create New Orleans style houses out of milk cartons to celebrate the rebuilding of New Orleans. A full bar is available with non-alcoholic options for kids.

The Fit Mom program provides "no excuses fitness" with twice- weekly stroller exercise sessions at which children are welcome. Cardio, strength and flexibility are emphasized. Classes start Thursday and continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at two locations. Fees are $15 per class or $85 for a 10- class package. For classes at Audubon Park in New Orleans, call 504-388-3849.   New Orleans City Park Amusements and Storyland
The Antique Carousel is now open!! Lots of other rides to keep you twisting, turning, whirling and twirling within the live oaks of Hines Carousel Gardens, including the Rockin'Tug, Bumper Cars, Red Baron mini planes, Scrambler, Tilt A Whirl, 40 foot fun slide, Umbrella Cars, Construction Zone, Live oak Lady Bug Roller Coaster, and miniature train ride that tours the park. A new larger Ferris Wheel will open during 2008.

  New Orleans Center for Creative Arts Kicks-Off Audition Season With Open Studio 2800 Chartres Street New Orleans
Middle and High School students and parents are encouraged to visit NOCCA as the Center opens its doors to the community with a coordinated Open Studio Day.
At Open Studio Day, families will be able to see first hand our artist-teachers' studios and classrooms. Applications and audition information tables will be throughout the building as guests can learn more about NOCCA directly from faculty and students. This is the first step for students who are considering applying and auditioning to NOCCA. No RSVP is required!

Spend the night camping at Audubon Zoo! This family fun event lets you into the Zoo after everyone else goes home.
